Bogota.com Snapped Up For $159,500

In recent domaining news, the ultra premium city dot com domain, Bogota.com, has been snapped up in a SnapNames auction by Vaxis (Vertical Axis), a leading domain name investment firm, for the fairly handsome sum of $159,500. The previous owner of this name is the one and only Microsoft believe it or not. Why they would let such an extremely valuable name drop still remains a mystery but it goes to show that even today great names are being dropped and even by the best of them.

What are your thoughts about this? Why do you think Microsoft would let such a valuable domain name expire? How much would you speculate the domain name to be worth to an end user?
