Alex Tew, of The Million Dollar Homepage, used a domain name, a good idea and some good old fashion viral marketing to achieve the million dollar goal he set just 4 months ago. In fact, he ended up making even more than the initial million dollar goal. Alex threw a little twist into the mix with his last 1,000 pixels, which he saved for an eBay auction that utimately would earn him an additional $37,100 ($38,100-$1,000) making the total of revenue earned from the site $1,037,100.

It just goes to show that anybody, even with a regular fee domain name, can indeed make quite a substantial amount of money with a good idea and a little bit of marketing.
